I drink a lot of root beer.. obviously. I have tried tons of different kinds from all over the country but I find the best ones at local breweries and not in a bottle or can. Awhile ago I pitted the St. Francis Root Beer against the KBC Root Beer and I declared the St. Francis brew the winner. I got the chance to hop up to Milwaukee again on Friday night and hit up the restaurant & brewery for some dinner and tasty treats with my dudes Andy E and Kuntz. Two growlers of root beer stand before me. The one on the left hails from St. Francis Brewery in St. Francis, WI. The one on the right was sent to me by my friend Aaron and is from the Keweenaw Brewing Company in Houghton, MI.

Although I do love the KBC and everything they stand for, I have to give this one to St. Francis Brewery. Their root beer has a delightful hint of maple and that makes me very excited.

Needless to say I will be getting a refill (or two) this weekend.
